I Have Varicose Veins: What Are My Treatment Options?
Varicose veins can be a nuisance. From pain and discomfort to making us feel insecure about our bodies, they can take a toll on our everyday lives. Not only that, but they can also cause other, more significant health complications. Because of all these factors, it only makes sense that we should seek prompt treatment for our varicose and spider veins.
At El Paso Varicose Veins Laser Clinic, we offer a wide variety of varicose vein treatment options so you can find the best one for you and treat your varicose veins once and for all. Our doctor is trained and certified to administer these treatments to ensure swift recovery and fine results.

Option #1: Endovenous Laser Ablation
Endovenous laser ablation works by treating the cause of varicose veins at their source: venous valve reflux. The treatment is administered via laser energy emitted into the bad vein, causing it to close and heal. We use an ultrasound to guide the laser and local anesthetic to ensure you don’t feel a thing. This treatment is ideal for treating then identifying the problem of the venous valve reflux.
Option #2: Ambulatory Phlebectomy
Ambulatory phlebectomy works by removing varicose veins using small punctures. It’s a quick procedure with minimal recovery time. You may resume normal activities right away. You can walk, bike, and so on for an hour a day a few days after the procedure.
Option #3: Sclerotherapy
During sclerotherapy, small amounts of liquid are injected into the diseased veins. The liquid causes the vein to shrink, close, and eventually disappear. This procedure works best for smaller varicose veins and spider veins.
Option #4: Venaseal
During this procedure, the Venaseal product is injected into your vein using a catheter. Similar to Sclerotherapy, the product causes your vein to close, shrink, and harden, eventually disappearing altogether.
Option #5: Varithena
Varithena is an FDA-approved foam that can be injected into the veins via a catheter. Once injected, it causes the diseased vein to lose function, close, and disappear. Once the vein is gone, the foam deactivates itself, and you’re left with varicose vein-free legs.
